Despite my best efforts to update my blog on a regular basis, I obviously have failed. Here's what has been going on...
On the school front, I am behind on my portfolio (surprise, surprise). There are always better things to do than sit and 'reflect' on my work at Lindenwood. Forty-five rationales about things my cooperating teacher has said about me, work I have completed, tests I have taken, and various other documents I have to pull together seems so mind-numbingly boring. Thus there is always something better to do... and I'll even put laundry in that category.
On the work front, it's SPRING BREAK. I told David, "As much as the kids need spring break, I think the teachers need it more." I have taken over all five classes and it has been alot. My routine is becoming easier, so much so that this week I have gotten up around 8 everyday. This, of course, is sleeping in compared to my normal alram time of 5:30 am. I have decided to use this week to grade papers, record grades, and plan lessons. I certianly do not even my classmate Cathy, with three classes to prep for and a cooperating teacher who is going on maternity leave in a couple weeks. Talk about a student teaching experience. Good luck!
Finally, on the home front, David has finally decided that buying a house is the best option for us. So we've started looking online and bookmarking houses we like in the Lacey and Puyallup areas. I have started looking for districts in the areas that may be hiring. We're realizing just how little time is left before we move. In a couple of weeks we have to apply for our housing loan, because in just about a month we go out to WA to look. Then comes a much needed vacation before all the chaos ensues... we're going to Jamaica for six days! Then it's back to graduate, pack and move on out the coast.
Coming up next post... things I didn't think I'd see/do while student teaching.

Have I told you that I love your background??? Thanks for your sweet comment...suprisingly, none of what I was venting about was work related!!! Even though I don't see you that often, I'm going to miss you when you're in WA!!! Let's get a group together for dinner before you leave...if you can squeeze us in!
